The client now has nearly 100 people bringing insurance knowledge, actuarial science, and software development skills to a growing client base. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly capable and professional people who are driven to deliver innovative, cutting edge solutions.
As an IT Project Manager reporting to the Business Programme Director, you will be responsible for running external client facing and internal projects. The successful candidate will operate as a member of the project management team, contributing high quality project management expertise working alongside our Consultants to deliver to clients.
*Agreeing project objectives and scope
*Drawing up a detailed plan and schedule for each stage of the project
*Managing project meetings with internal and external project teams and suppliers
*Leading the project team including organisation and forward planning of the various assigned resources
*Ensuring that at each stage projects are progressing on time, on budget and to the right quality standards
*Support the Programme Director in continuously improving client project delivery processes and tools
*Significant experience working in professional services environments managing both small and large projects for high profile clients
*Formally trained in project management methods and be familiar with typical planning tools such as MS Project and Agile PM tools such as JIRA
*Experience with managing client-facing software implementation and / or actuarial model delivery projects
*Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to spot problems, understand its significance, and get to the heart of the issue quickly and thoroughly and propose creative solutions
*Used to working under pressure. You are proactive, show resolve and adapt to evolving situations.
