Innovation Product Owner

Job Specification:

We are looking for a Product Owner to join the Innovation Team, as we accelerate the company's innovation initiatives. This person will work closely with the wider Strategy team and Corporate Development function to help stimulate company growth.
As the Innovation Product Owner, you will be responsible for the execution of all innovation initiatives, covering both new product launches and the augmentation of existing products.
To be successful in the role you will also need to be organised, tenacious, have so strong verbal and written communication skills


Main duties
* Be Involved in all innovation initiatives.
* Determine who needs to be involved with new products and when.
* Determine outcomes and milestones necessary for bringing a product from idea to market-ready solution,
* Prepare communications and ensure all stakeholders (both internal and external) understand and remain aligned at all times.
* Manage the innovation process from start to finish.
* Help develop the innovation function, working with the Head of Innovation to maintain strong engagement and a smooth implementation process.
* Maintain regular interaction across the business, including Underwriting, Actuarial, Operations and Risk teams,

Experience
* Experience in product ownership or project management at an insurance company is essential
* Relevant experience in insurance, perhaps across operational activities


Technical skills
* Strong numerical skills
* Able to perform robust analysis
* Articulate written and verbal communicator
* Excellent attention to detail
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office products

Qualifications
* Robust academic ability essential but University not a pre-requisite
* Relevant professional training or qualifications desirable but not essential
* Understanding of Specialty Insurance desirable but not necessary
