Longbridge are currently working with a management consultancy firm, who are now actively seeking a Head of Accountancy to join them on a full-time permanent basis. The client is a rapidly growing small business providing B2B and B2C professional services to a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally. They specialise in accountancy, legal and people services.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will benefit from joining the company at a period of exciting growth, with revenue being 50% over the last year.

This opportunity is suited to a Qualified Accountant with previous advisory/consultancy experience, preferably from working within practice. The candidate will have proven stakeholder management and a broad set of skills across accounting, advisory and projects.
Please note this role will be a mixture of home and office-based working. Candidate must be able to commute into their London office.

DESIRED:

*3 yrs. PQE (ESSENTIAL)
*Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA (ESSENTIAL)
*Experience in preparing or advising on R&D claims
*From an Audit background
*Experience working in SMEs

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overall responsibility for the financial performance of the accountancy department
Defining the strategy and ensuring the delivery of key objectives
Building and managing exceptional client relationships as the senior point of contact
Undertaking business development and onboarding new accountancy clients
Providing high level tax advice to key directors/shareholders
Preparation of personal tax returns for c.25 clients
Provide commercial input to clients to ensure a value-adding service is delivered
Preparation of accounts and corporation tax returns for c.50 clients
R&D tax relief advice and preparing the necessary information for filing with HMRC
Management, organisation, training and development of x4 department staff members
