Job Title: Qualified Accountant
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits

Please note that employees are required to be on site 5 days per week.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading pharmaceuticals company in their search for a Qualified Accountant. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity which will be based out of their Swindon office.

The Role:

This position is to manage all accounting activities for the UK including accruals, intercompany activity, and other general accounting areas. This position is responsible for managing the UK general ledger, supporting statutory financial reporting and VAT reporting requirements. The individual is expected to analyse the process behind all essential duties & responsibilities listed below, to make suggestions on how these activities can be improved and to implement change.

Key Duties & Responsibilities as listed but not limited to:

*Manage the month-end closing process for inventory
*Manage the month-end close process
*Meet with department owners to determine monthly accruals
*Prepare spend by department and analysis of budget versus actual
*Determine proper project coding to capture data, including intercompany service billing
*Lead intercompany inventory transitions, including profit eliminations and reconciliations
*Serve as accounting liaison for the company's UK operations
*Perform year-end inventory count at third party manufacturing sites
*Other ad hoc analysis / projects as deemed appropriate
Interaction:
This role reports into the Sr. Director of Finance and works closely with Corporate Controller/Accounting, Tax, Legal, Operations, Auditors and the company's contract manufacturer.

Education and Experience:

*5+ years of relevant Management Accounting experience
*ACA or CPA preferred
*Degree in Accounting or CIMA certificate in Business Accounting required
*Process Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals (desirable)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

*General knowledge of IFRS US GAAP / UK GAAP, general accounting, and a thorough understanding of cost accounting
*Pharmaceutical industry experiencer (desirable)
*Knowledge of and experience in internal accounting controls and preparing and implementing accounting policies and procedures
*Experience working in a fast-paced environment
*Flexibility regarding working hours to allow for US time difference
*Budgeting and Forecasting
*Cost and Inventory Accounting
*Demonstrated analytical abilities
*Excellent oral and written English communication skills
*Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines
*Proficiency in MS Office including Excel (expert level), Word, Power Point
