Patent searcher - 9 month contract

A top 10 FTSE business, my client is looking for a professional, experienced patent searcher to join their team supporting legal strategy.

The role will involve undertaking pre-filing novelty searches, FTO searches and invalidation searches to support the Patents team. The information will need to be presented in a standardised format and you'll be expected to provide insight to help inform innovation activities and Competitor intelligence.

The role will also involve leading a small team directing and co-ordinate searching work.

You will need to have at least 5 years experience of undertaking patent searching with an effective communication style to identify and summarise key information.

A science degree and an understanding of patent law would be very beneficial

This is a 9 month contract position, inside ir35. While the role is based in Southampton, they do have a hybrid working model
