Network and Security Engineer
Permanent role paying up to £45k
You will be responsible for the following:
*Manage and secure the network infrastructure and manage endpoint security for Windows environment using tools such as WSUS, Nessus Pro and PDQ.
*Establishing and enforcing Group Policy on Active Directory
*Knowledge of cloud-based environments - Google Workplace, Azure, AWS
*Overseeing backup procedures and retention policies
*Manage, test and deploy updates to applications.
*Design and implement the organisation's security, anti-virus and back-up systems and plan
*disaster recovery contingencies to enable an efficient return of service after any unforeseen
*system outages.
Key Experiences/ Knowledge:
*Working knowledge of ISO27001 & other security frameworks
*Must have Cloud knowledge - Google, Azure, AWS
*Proven experience working with MS Office, 365, Win7/10, Windows 2012 Server
*A strong understanding of HP server, desktop and laptop hardware
*Good understanding of TCP/IP based networks and protocols, Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
*Google Workplace Admin an advantage
* Solid network troubleshooting experience in a Meraki network environment
*Customer service focussed and knowing when to set expectations
Media background preferred
