The role will be a mix of office and home working, with their offices based in London Bridge, South-East London.
My client is keen to bring on board a Junior Accountant to their accountancy team. The successful candidate will benefit from joining the company at a period of exciting growth, in a business of 14 staff, which is rapid expanding.
They are rapidly growing small business providing B2B and B2C professional services to a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally. They specialise in accountancy; legal and people services with an aim is to maximise value to their clients by providing quality guidance and expertise through each stage of their business growth.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role will involve taking responsibility for the bookkeeping and payroll services for all our clients and working closely overseeing our outsourced bookkeeping and payroll providers.
*Operate a comprehensive bookkeeping function for c.30 clients including
*Accurately recording invoices raised and bills received o Reconciling bank transactions
*Posting journals for prepayments, accruals, and other monthly adjustments
*Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns for bookkeeping clients
This role is suited to an individual that is enthusiastic and keen to develop a range of accountancy skills. You will need to be highly organised and able to work to deadlines. Attention to detail in data entry is crucial and you will need to be able to communicate effectively with clients and respond to their queries.
*Organised and able to work to tight deadlines
*Strong verbal communicator
*Experience using Xero and Iris Accounts Production
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office platforms
*Excellent at maintaining and building new and long-lasting relationships
*Diligent and thorough, with a strong attention to detail
*AAT qualified or a finance related degree is a plus but not required
