The Role

The JM Group are currently working with a leading technology software and consulting company who are now actively seeking an IT Project Manager within Development to join them on a full-time permanent basis. The team is remote based at the moment, as and when the situation changes they are ideally looking at 1-2 days a week in London or Cambridge.

This role has been created due to growth and they are looking for an IT Project Manager to work with them on their growing client base within insurance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly capable and professional developers and IT team who are driven to deliver innovative, cutting edge solutions.

A an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects in the development function. The successful candidate will operate as a member of the project management team, contributing high quality project management expertise working alongside a team of software developers in an Agile environment.

The Responsibilities

*Supporting development managers with the planning and of projects within their development teams
*Agreeing project objectives and scope
*Managing project meetings with internal and external project teams and suppliers
*Regular reporting
*Working within an Agile environment
*Communicating to senior stakeholders on the development projects being delivered

As an IT Project Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

*Significant experience working in professional services environments managing both small and large projects for high profile clients, insurance or financial services is preferred
*Experience delivering projects alongside software development teams within Agile
*Formally trained in project management methods and be familiar with typical planning tools such as MS Project and Agile PM tools such as JIRA
*Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to spot problems, understand its significance, and get to the heart of the issue quickly and thoroughly and propose creative solutions
*Used to working under pressure. You are proactive, show resolve and adapt to evolving situations.
