DevOps / Cloud Engineer - AWS

Global Financial Services Firm is hiring for a DevOps / Cloud Engineer for their team based in the City. This is a permanent role offering a salary of £70K - £100K, depending on experience. This will be to join a well-established Agile development team and you will involved in all aspects of the specification, design, development and implementation of my client's solutions.

Responsibilities include:

- Define and implement the architecture, process and procedures for automation, PaaS and SaaS
- Create and maintain environments for development and testing in both internal and external deployment regions.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines incorporating further automation and review best practice into the deployment process
- Maintain development, application hosting, database and management servers including hardware on both internal and cloud hosted environments
- Enable developer to be more productive by automating daily operations across multiple areas including:
o Security Testing

o Performance Testing

o Peer review quality gate validation

o Functional and Regression Testing

o Accessibility Testing and Compliance to WCAG guidelines

o Operational acceptance testing


Skills Required:

- Experience with Infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines and high levels of automation
- Experience using Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience operating cloud environments (AWS / Azure)
- Scripting languages - PowerShell, Ruby, Python
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (ElasticSearch / ELK, Grafana, New Relic, Prometheus)
- DevOps tools experience - SonarQube, Flywaydb, Bitbucket, GitLab, Docker, elk stack
- Experience using Java application servers (TomEE, JBoss, WebSphere); SQL and Stored Procedures (Oracle, SQL Server); Testing frameworks and tools (Junit, JMeter, JMockit, Selenium Webdriver); Build Tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle)
- Experience of maintaining a high availability infrastructure
- Financial Services experience would be an added advantage
