You will look after employees, and the systems we use internally. You will be reporting to the Global Head of Workplace Technology.
We have little-to-no on-site infrastructure, and rely heavily on a collection of SaaS products. The majority of our endpoints are macOS, although we also use Windows and iOS devices.
We had 180 employees 18 months ago and now we have over 500 globally.
You will need to:
Help enable the Workplace Technology team to deliver a first-class experience to the business across all technology platforms
Be responsible for the configuration and administration of our key core infrastructure systems such as Google Workspace, Jamf, and Slack
Help the business succeed in a time of rapid scaling by utilising your experience to solve the associated challenges
Work on individual and team projects often spanning multiple technologies and geographical regions
Document IT policies and procedures
Assist in IT aspects of audits as required - we are ISO 27001 certified
Follow policies and procedures in the Information Security Management System (ISMS) to ensure the Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of the information that Railsbank manages
We are growing very rapidly, but remain a small company, so you might have to wear many hats in the initial stages to help reach the overall goal.
Skills needed:
Many years of experience deploying and supporting internal IT systems in an enterprise environment
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
A high level of knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) products across all platforms, ideally including Jamf Pro
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience in:
-Strong experience in implementing CI/CD and DevOps best practices for Data Platform infrastructure deployments
-Strong experience with deploying Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (Terraform modules, remote state storage, state locking, dynamic blocks)
-Experience working with QA, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, DBAs, etc.
-BA/BS degree (Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics, or similar technical field)
-Experience building and supporting compute/storage/network infrastructure systems and solutions with a focus on data pipelines and resources.
-Experience with Python and Bash scripting, familiarity with OOP concepts is a plus.
-Desirable : Experience in Linux operating system internals, networking, filesystems and storage technologies.
-Desirable : Experience in application and infra monitoring and alerting systems (ELK Stack)
You are a team-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to talk easily to people at all levels.
You will need good organizational skills and like being in a very fast paced environment.
