My client is a rapidly growing small business providing B2B and B2C professional services to a wide range of clients across the UK and internationally. You will be fundamental to strengthening our accountancy team and in providing quality payroll services to our clients. We have an existing team of three people which you will be working closely with on a day-to-day basis. This role will report directly into the Head of Accounts.
THE JOB OPPORTUNITY
They are keen to bring on board an experienced Bookkeeper to join the accountancy team. You will benefit from joining the company at a period of exciting growth, in a business of 10 staff, that is rapidly expanding. The role will predominately involve processing the bookkeeping for approximately 20 clients.
This role is suited to a highly experienced and competent bookkeeper with stand-alone experience. You will need to be highly organised and able to work to deadlines. Attention to detail in data entry is crucial and you will need to be able to communicate effectively with clients and respond to their queries.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Operate a comprehensive bookkeeping function for c.20 clients including
*Accurately recording invoices raised and bills received
*Reconciling bank transactions
*Posting journals for prepayments, accruals and other monthly adjustments
*Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns for bookkeeping clients
*Other general administration tasks on an ad hoc basis
*A minimum of 2 years bookkeeping experience
*AAT Level 3 Qualified
*Proficient in Microsoft excel and Microsoft office platforms
*Diligent and thorough, with a strong attention to detail
*Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
*Proven experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage Line 50 Accounts and Sage software
*Excellent at maintaining and building new and long-lasting relationships
*Excellent English - written and verbal
